Class of 2022 Celebrations

On June 2, our seniors celebrated prom. Elevate’s program staff attended the fun filled night and celebrated alongside our students. Prom is considered a rite of passage to many and we are grateful for opportunities to share in our youth’s joy.

On June 21, we had the honor of hosting the graduating class at Sylvia’s Restaurant. The graduation luncheon is one of the last times the graduating class comes together to celebrate each other and their accomplishments. Historically this event has been held on school property, but this year we partnered with Slyvia’s Restaurant in Harlem to provide our graduates with an unforgettable meal and experience. Students shared a meal, served family style, and received their honor chords, cap and gowns, and a gift bag from BSSWA’s partner Global Kids filled with supplies to help kick off their post-secondary journey.

On June 23, the Bronx Studio School for Writers and Artists celebrated graduation. Elevate program staff were in the audience to cheer on the 65 graduating seniors. The following Elevate New York students received graduation accolades.
