Preparing for the Fall

We are beyond excited to welcome our students back to the classroom next month. Classes begin on September 13, 2021 and are expected to be 100% in person. This year Elevate will be teaching two in-school accredited classes. In addition to our planned Adventure and College Prep workshops, we are currently working with skilled volunteers to solidify a career development and financial literacy workshop. We are grateful for our volunteers who have offered to leverage their expertise to support our student’s post-secondary journeys.  

Elevate will be leading a social-emotional learning workshop for the Bronx Studio School f or Writers and Artists’ (BSSWA) Summer Bridge. The program is designed to give students a glimpse into the new school year and offer insight into what to expect during middle and high school. In previous years Summer Bridge was only offered to incoming 6th and 9th grade students. However, this year it will be offered to grades 6, 9, and 10 to acclimate students into a community after spending roughly two school years either fully remote or blended. We are looking forward to supporting students as they transition into their new school and their next chapter.
